ISC at the Jiangsu International Senior Care Service Expo 2021!
At the annual Jiangsu International Senior Care Service Expo held from October 9th to 11th, many healthcare organizations, scholars and government departments come together to show and share their ideas for better eldercare. The Expo pays special attention to the use of intelligent eldercare technologies, bringing awareness to the ‘digital divide’ that still exists between the elderly and the many solutions that technology could offer.
Across the large exhibition area, countless participants showed wonderful eldercare innovations and solutions for a wide variety of purposes, such as nursery facilities and furniture, rehabilitation exercise equipment, physical health monitoring, elderly residences and communities, and overall wellbeing and happiness.
Innovations should be mostly people-oriented rather than technology-oriented
One of the main takeaways of this event, is that we should aim to make the digital revolution mostly people-oriented and society-oriented, rather than technology-oriented. No matter how technologically advanced or data-driven our technical solutions become, the key lies in constructing a comfortable and social life for the elderly. After all, feeling the emotional care of such technological solutions is what will truly create a better quality of life.
At ISC, we couldn’t agree more. When designing our play concepts, we think about the ease of use and enjoyment of the end users who will play together, learn and teach each other how to play, and even the caregivers who will assist and participate in the social interaction.
After careful development and real-life testing in local elder homes, we’ve proudly brought some of our play concepts to show at our beautiful stand. Some of the fun, eye-catching concepts we’ve showed include our interactive BRYM Table, the Inspiration Wheel, the Swinging Top Maze, and the exciting Activity Wall with included wall decorations. We feel that we have managed to make a unique contribution to the Expo that attracted many visitors to come take a look and that has not been seen before; showing the power of play!
Feeling the emotional care is the true key to a better quality of eldercare
We are happy to have received much positive and valuable feedback from visitors, and we have taken much inspiration from other exhibitors around us and their wonderful innovations. We will continue improving and innovating our play concepts to create a better quality of life for our elders into the future.
